Product Description
Urisep is a 10,000 Dalton molecular weight cut off ultrafiltration device. The chamber is pressurised by pumping air through a removeable cap fitted with an integral valve. Each kit is supplied with a syringe pump, a set of four pressure caps (white top), and one vacuum cap (black top). Filtration chambers and filtrate collection tubes are supplied in packs of 25 units.
Operating pressure is achieved with three pumps of the syringe and a x100 concentration is normally achieved within thirty minutes. A dead stop prevents the concentrated sample from drying out. The vacuum cap provides a simple method to draw liquid back across the filtration surface to achieve full protein recovery. The filtrate is retained within the outer tube and may be stored or tested as required. Stand up the Urisep vertically. The pool of concentrate formed is easily drawn off by pipette once the cap is removed.
